Citizens With Special Needs Who Require Home Visit Registration & Card Issuance
A special arrangement is provided to citizens with special needs such as bedridden citizens who are unable to call in person at the Mauritius National Identity Card Centres to get themselves registered for the Smart ID card.
To be eligible for such service:
- The concerned citizen should be a beneficiary of an Invalid Pension or an old age Person
- Relative or Caretaker of the concerned citizen should fill in an ”Application form for Bedridden” available at the Mauritius National Identity Card Centres
- The duly filled ”Application form for Bedridden” including a detailed Site plan should be deposited together with photocopies of the citizen’s relevant documents (see page: Documents required) at the Mauritius National Identity Card Centre, Ground floor, Emmanuel Anquetil building, Port Louis.
A dedicated Home Visit team will then be deployed for the Home Visit Registration & Issuance on a scheduled date and time.
Note that prior to the Home Visit Registration & Card Issuance, appointment will be made by phone call from the Home Visit team to confirm date and time.
